Mighty Oak "Bingle Jells".

My polypin has dropped clear, and it's lovely!

No more lager (or Banrock Station) for the foreseeable future :)

Gluhwein (home made)

the Spanish Savers red you normally use to clean the toilet was all sold out at Sainsbury's so had to buy perfectly drinkable Merlot from Aldi  :(

now onto the Madeira , but purely in my temporary, one night only, capacity as Santa.

I deny any involvement in the decision that led to Madeira being left out instead of, e.g., warm milk.  :P

I've had my bucks fizz for breakfast and my  Bengal Lancer for lunch. I might have a nice cup of tea before cooking the dinner and moving on to the wine, the port and cheeses, and then the cointreau and chocolate.

It's minus doublebastard out there, earth as hard as iron/water like a stone stuff, so I'm on hot chocolate with rum.  Which I was expecting to be less glorious.

*sings rum songs*
It takes blood and guts to be this cool but I'm still just a cliché.

I'm gonna limp to the pub and drink 'til the rest of me is as numb as my arse.

10 year old Islay single malt. My roots are Irish, not Scottish, but to judge by the smell/taste of this stuff, the Scots must have peat bogs just like the ones they have in Ireland. I'm just not sure that the Irish have seen the alcoholic potential yet, foolishly wasting peat on such fripparies as making fire rather than keeping warm...

Just had (with our nommy ham lunch) a bottle of Oyster Bay Sauvignon Blanc 2009. That was a lovely bottle of wine!
