We had a half-decent white Burgundy (Pouilly-Something) at lunch, then a mouthful of Penderyn's whisky-cream liqueur, which is not really my thing. Just tucking into a bottle of Manzanilla and some pistachios now

Just bottled the wine that I brewed in the spring - 5 bottles of redcurrant, 5 bottles of plum and 1 bottle 3/4 plum and 1/4 redcurrant.

Currently sipping a taster of rather young (and therefore slightly sharp) plum rose' wine.

Hopefully they will be quite drinkable by the summer.

On Christmas Eve it was a 30 year old Banff single malt. On Christmas day it was a 10yo Teaninich. Yesterday there was 15yo Glenburgie and 14yo Longrow. Giving it a rest tonight.

Pelorus (sparkling Cloudy Bay chardonnay) with a drop of Creme de Cassis.

Someone gave me a bottle of Chilean Gewurtztraminer for my birthday and I opened it the other night to add to a risotto, but didn't drink any otherwise. Just poured myself a glass. Egads! The label says "perfumed" but I think what they mean is "tastes like lychees." Far too sweet for me. $:-\$ Will have to make more risotto.

A large glass of Sainsbury's Cabernet Sauvignon (about the cheapest they do, but quite drinkable) with some French bread and Roquefort. Which is the best lunch, if you have the constitution.

I suppose I'd better go for a hard ride later so i feel self-righteous again.
