Badger Hopping Hare. Very hoppy (unsurprisingly), quite different to their usual sweet, flowery brews.

Hopping Hare is a lovely pint.

I'm drinking a rather good Nutty Black from Thwaites. Bottle conditioned.

The other evening cycled to the Rising Sun to sample some of GWB's fine ales

http://www.greatwesternbrewingcompany.co.uk/OurBeers.htm

The HPA - Hambrook Pale Ale was fantastic, and being the 'brewery tap' the prices were good as well  well worth a visit if you are ever in the area.
The Brewery is only 5 minutes from the M32/M4 junction at the Frenchay traffic lights.

Shortly to be washed down with a curry.

The remains of a bottle of co-op (Freeminer) 'Goldminer' bottle conditioned ale. It exploded when Iopened it and I lost about a 1/3 of the bottle :(

That's v nice.  The co-op is only five minutes walk.  But the corner shop is only five houses away.  They sell Hepworths Prospect amongst others 2 for £4.
I'm finishing off a bottle of Blossom Hill.

The Glenlivet. 15-year-old French oak reserve. Waitrose had them on special offer. I've just opened the bottle.

Magnificent.

Sainsbury's Marlbourgh Sauv blanc.
It's fecking terrible. Doesn't taste too awful but it feels like drinking battery acid on the way down.
I miss the old 'taste the difference' Sauv blanc

Monsoon Malabar coffee, due to doing an emergency run to Whittards on Sunday (ok, we needed to go and buy shoes for TLD, but Whittards are in the same shopping centre so it seemed daft not to stock up :) )

Their taste the difference stuff is a bit hit & miss. The Czech lager is a pale imitation of the real thing, whereas the porter is really rather good. I had their fino at Christmas & that was very crisp.

A very nice wine I can't even remember the name of but have a whole case of in my study*

*the description 'study' is a very loose term. There is a desk there somewhere underneath all the piles of stuff. But it really describes a room in which 2 bikes are parked and a huge stack of plastic boxes containing all manner of different bike tools, accessories and spares.

Actually it wasn't their TTD stuff after all, but another Marlborough SB, their previous TTD SB was my favourite but they seem to have done away with it....
