How to jazz up a Hobnob.
« on: 03 February, 2013, 09:37:30 pm »
Due to some rather random leftovers at work this week, we discovered a new joy.

Take one Hobnob. Plain, not chocolate. Spread with a good teaspoonful of clotted cream.

Eat.

Wish you had more clotted cream and hobnobs.

If I had a baby elephant, it could help me wash the car. If I had a car.

I can see that working. Add a bit of jam/honey on the top of the cream as well

Yeah, I wondered about jam too, but the hobnob and cream was already pretty perfect!

Just the liquid from the top of the blackcurrant jam on the clotted cream -> instant 'cheesecake!

As we are now treating the hobnob as a cake then as you are in Yorkshire this should be obvious - cheese! :D

We did remark that a digestive spread with cream cheese would be a mini cheesecake, but the more open texture of a hobnob is even more like a crumb base, I reckon.

I'll eat digestives or hobnobs with cheese happily, but then I'll eat anything with cheese! ;)

I thought this was about a public schoolboys' dorm game.

There is a small chance I don't, entirely, like clotted cream! ;D

Back when I could still digest wheat, one of my favourite snacks was Ginger Nuts, spread with butter.

I have on occasion eaten a whole packet in one sitting.

You only need to change three letters for that.
It is simpler than it looks.
