Got home about 20-30mins ago.

Great Tapas from a fantastic Spanish (Galician) landlord.

OD, huggy, bobb, tomsk, JohnT, mrsJohnT, Tomsk and chief in attendance

I need to go to bed.  May write more tomorrow (or not as the mood and chess match takes me!)

The MEMWNS goes all sophisticated and continental by adding tapas and San Miguel cerveza to the usual elements of a bit of riding, the mighty North Hill, lots of banter, great company, smashing pub and weeing in Terling ford.

It was lovely to meet MrsT, we must have a proper WAGs night soon.

Isn't the Christmas Do in a couple of weeks a WAGs option?

Saying that, Uncle James, my WAG, is probably not coming...

Yes the Christmas do has a WAGs option but it isn't a MEMWNS event, different animals see?

Shame about Uncle James. Does Santa need him at the grotto early this year?

The Tapas was excellent. I'd definitly go again

If we wanted to keep up White Hartedness - there is one at Moreton that I know well. It is about 10 miles west of Chelmsford though, so that would be a fairly lengthy ride for most people....

That White Hart is where I've been every year for the last three or four at last orders on the Dun Run.

It was nice to see you there, albeit we came in the car. Will that pub be there in the future... how can it manage if MEMWNS
had not have been there who would have?? maybe the weekends are better for them

It was a bit busier when I went previously, on a Friday. I think that pub has always struggled though, there is group of village residents who would like to see it closed for good. Also, there's a football club next door with a licensed bar, and they view the pub as unwelcome competition.

The lady behind the bar said they were often quiet during the week though busier at the weekends.  The way she said it sounded it like it didnt get much busier.  Big shame, like JohnT said the landlord was a nice chap who deserves more success.

How remiss of me, I forgot I had photos to share.

Keen to prove I can be as sophisticated and continental as the next man  ...

I am pleased to note my beer photographing skills are improving.  Its not as simple as you'd think.  And, the aftermath of the tapas ...

Apart from the obvious absence of the photographer in the piccie, there is no Oaky........had he not returned from going through another wrong door and getting lost?!?

Another  for the tapas  :D

Any takers for this Wednesday and suggestions of refreshment venue (assuming we're not going for MEMWNS distance records this week and planning on The White Hart at Moreton)?

Ah, well....it was the Wm IV last time, so it'd better be the Coach & Horses then? Unless any other suggestions...any more beer festivals?

Not sure where the Coach & Horses is, Tomsk, but a visit to the Wagon & Horses is due  :P
I'm sure we'll ride via NH, probably with an ETA of 20:45 to 21:00.

Assuming JohnT is nursing the same heavy legs as OD so may not have the pleasure of his company and detailed first 200 report this week  ::-)
