Assuming nobody breaks anything at work, I'll be around. I was thinking of Maldon last week, but I couldn't make it. I'll put that suggestion in the mix again and see what bites :-)

I'm around as well. I don't mind where we go, Maldon is fine. If Maldon isn't the final choice and we end up in some far flung corner of a foreign field I may leave before closing as I've an early start on Thursday.

I will make a decision tomorrow, based on weather and other stuff, but a little nocturnal cycling might well work.

I'll be around Wednesday night.

Maldon sounds good to me.  If I remember correctly, slippy was talking about visiting the Queens Head on the quayside.

There's a coven round here tomorrow night so I'll be going out. Do you want to meet en route Tomsk? Compasses for a swifty at 7.30?

Well, it ain't gonna be sunny tomorrow so I'd rather go to Maldon sea front when it is.

I'm happy to go to Maldon, the Compasses would only be a pause as somewhere to meet Tomsk.

Yes, we can kidnap Slippy from opposite the fire station and take him to Maldon collecting Oaky as added muscle at the Jack 'n' Jenny.  Does anyone have a route to Maldon in mind?

I can make the Compasses for 7:30, Bloomers, en-route to Maldon. I won't [mustn't, eek! no, no] stay late as the morrow is Mrs Tomsk's birthday.....and we're off to Colchester for a posh lunch, shopping and the Tour Series race in the evening.

If not the Queen's Head, then the Blue Boar?

We'll miss the Witham lot though with my suggested timing. Shall I meet you Spa Road as per above?

I am still considering the possibility of joining you.

Has anyone heard from Del lately? I wonder if he might be interested.

Yes, Grant has been BBMing me.  I've caught up now.

I have a feeling that comedy off-roading has been sadly neglected over recent weeks.  Blackwater Rail Trail anyone?

I'm going to find it difficult to find much time to come up with a creative route to Maldon this evening if someone would like to take on the role of routemeister, unless that someone is OD taking us on comedy off-roading.

+1 for the Blue Boar, given that it's not going to be seafront sitting outside weather - the Blue Boar might have their open fire burning  ::-)

I guess up through Wickham Bishops or left at bottom of TMNH along the lane where I saw a man in a blond wig, bra and camisole the other week.

I have one of those Short Massage Service things that suggests our slippy is Route Master tonight.  I don't give a toss which pub we end up in.  I was hoping to try out my new shorts but I'm not sure the weather's right.  I suppose I could give them a go with knee warmers.

I waved at you but you didn't wave back.  Miserable git.

I found the previous slippy message regarding his Maldon route - assuming he's proposing the same again - see below...

I'd love to go to the Blue Boar, but I was thinking of down to the harbour, thought it might be nice next to the sea :-) The Queen's Head is the one I'm thinking of - The Hythe, Maldon, CM95HN

I think the route is about 23 miles, add on North Hill and it's closer to 28 I would say, though I'm relying on my TomTom after that to get to Maldon.

Actually this might work - http://www.endomondo.com/workouts/110887497/2636501 to show you what I mean!

Shall we say 7:30 at the Fire Station?
