It'll have to be a Thursday (early closing on Wed) and still subject to checking the beers - I might get over there tomorrow night perhaps

Don't you worry old boy, I will be out on Wednesday to look after you.  Everyone needs to play their part in helping our older generations adjust to a more normal world again.

I'm so thankful for your public spiritedness ted. I'm not sure if we count as part of the normal world, but I'm very keen to socialize with human beings again.

The Swan is fine btw.

Doesn't that depend on what day you call the start of the week ?

I'm probably OK for Swan though Thursday does look the nicer evening for awheel...

Not unreasonably, I presumed we weren't changing the starting day of the week at random, thereby making it very difficult to plan to be out awheel.

I was just observing that it's called Mid-Week not Mid-Wednesday  :-*

That's obvious.

It's fine if you want to go out on Thursday, I've not a problem with that, I had just assumed that MEMWNS happened on a Wednesday, that made it possible to plan ahead, with shift work, child care, family commitments etc, to come along.

If it's going to vary each week, I can't plan ahead and so won't be out on Wednesday or Thursday or any night. That's all.

Good evening, might I interject in my position of Elder and Founding Father of the Mid-Essex Mid-Week Nocturnal Series?

Whilst moving our rides to a Thursday is fine on an occasional basis I would personally be against Thursday becoming the new Wednesday for a whole host of reasons.  If anyone thinks differently let's have that debate.

Whilst I have got you please may I apologise for my absences recently.  I've had a couple of weeks holiday and also I'm starting to travel again for work, this Wednesday I shall be in Hull, next week it's Doncaster.  Some of you might know what I do for a living, for those of you who don't know, I'm a rockstar as evidenced by my work lifestyle.  Hopefully I shall be awheel with you all shortly.

I wouldn't worry - the last session was on Thursday to avoid drunken drivers and football and the other reason Thursday was mentioned was in response to Queen's Head Boreham as a venue which closes at 8pm on a Wed.

I think I'd favour a pub ride tomorrow over Thursday. So I'll be heading for the Swan. Probably be there around 20:30.

In post Greece lockdown, so not out tonight, and working next week, and the week after and I imagine the one after that
You can’t just call time out and stroll on into the beach if you don’t like the way things are goin’.

Hopefully you’ll be able to make the ACME Sunday meetup in early August. Can’t remember the date, but I’m sure details will arrive on yacf soon.
