Queens Head this week (bonus Boss Hogg's if required) ??

Fine by me, but a western friendly option is possible, if anyone this way is out to play? Three Horseshoes, Duton Hill ... ?

Three Horseshoes sounds good.

3 horseshoes might be a little too far for me at the moment but I could consider it.

Looks like we have a western venue sorted - I'll give them a ring today.

Sorry - looks like I'm needing to be in London for the first time in 18 months this Wednesday, with retirement drinks after work (not mine!).

Changing the subject slightly, if you are planning on coming along to the bivvy bash on the 8th and are a vegetarian please could you make yourself known to me.  Thanks.

Any other EER regulars about on Wednesday.  The forecast is not great so local wins.

Three Horseshoes are open 18:00 - 23:00 on Wednesday.

That's just me and Nick at the moment -  any others? Only 19 miles from Witham, slightly shorter from Chelmo. The forecast is indeed a bit iffy re: rain arriving for Thursday, also a cold night predicted - time to dig out that winter kit?

I've been looking forward to the return to "The Butlin's Pub" but having been laid out for 3 days with a cold, which has made my cough even worse, I think I'm doubtful for this Wednesday :-\

I'm not available this week.

Enjoy yourselves, should have enough fuel in the car to get back for next week.

My Thurs/Fri has changed now to Bardfield rather than 4km from home so I think I won't be out now.

What about a venue.

If our Hadleigh or Ardleigh outliers were tempted, we could head towards the Colchester side of our region.

Otherwise I was thinking the Swan at Totham, the Maltsters or even the Kings Head at Tollesbury - proper Eastern venues for Eastern people.

I would be interested if the venue is closer to Colchester, but no worries if others prefer the 'proper eastern venues' . There will always be other opportunities.

You're well placed to choose between eastern and western venues: I'm still up for the Three Horseshoes at Duton Hill ('The Butlins Pub'), eastern one tbc ...

Sorry, Tomsk, on the Western Venue - I’m off to Portugal the day after, so no around this week.

Right - my week has changed again and I am now back at the venue 4km from home tomorrow - so my options are open for tonight again.

I originally suggested QH Boreham as Jane was interested and tempted by a bit of Boss Hoggs.

I know Jen was interested in a near Maldon location - we havent been to that Quayside one for a while, Queens Head?

I'm on the fence about 3 horseshoes as it might be a little far for my current fitness... Maldon is a lot less of a trip as it's 25km less in total... unless I depart earlier perhaps from 3H... will mull it over today whilst stood in a sunny (hopefully) playground!

Joergen

It would be good if we could tempt the Essex Strangler and Ol' Fandango out as well but that means closer to Colchester.

I am even less fit than Joergen so Maldon etc work for me.

Does the Totham Swan work as a compromise ?
