How about Square and Compasses in Fuller Street? Website seems to say it's serving beer...

It's a bit of a foodie gaff with a side order of ale, might not be fully open all night?

Unfortunately they often convert their pub tables into eating tables so if you're thinking of going there it'll be worth phoning them first.

Anyone for an Eastern or Central venue ?

Cats is about my limit from those suggested so far.  OT is a possibility with train assist.

OT then? Cats too far East for me, although Ted clearly views as Western!

Alex Dowsett is going for his hour record from 10pm tomorrow evening in Mexico. I wonder if I can persuade The OT to put it on for us ?

Let's compromise on describing it as South-Western   Cats is a 75k round trip from home - in a south westerly direction.

Don't you get wet if you head south westerly from home?

That might come in handy given it's raining tonight!

Anyone heading to the OT tonight or are we all staying home to watch the BBC red button coverage of Dowsett ?

I was aiming for the OT - with added train assist.

I hadn't noticed the rain part but it can't be as bad as two weeks ago - can it !

I'm aiming for the OT - what time are we doing? 830 about right for me, I think

I will be there just after 8.30.  Anything to avoid the Super Hyper Interesting Televisual Experience that is an hour of someone going round a track in a morph suit.

OK 20:30 seems to be the winner, I just need to decide if I am clown bike or not.....

0.25mm of rain here so far....

No rain here and the forecast says <5% chance of rain.  I suppose it's the tropical south effect.

My train arrives at 20.25.

The rain has now reached the outer reaches.  In fact, I am reliably informed, it has been raining for at least an hour.

Been raining steadily all the way home from work and I am therefore claiming CBA status.

I have just arrived home late and after getting a thorough soaking riding home from the office, I am therefore calling CBA for this evening and I'll use the other excuse of doing organiser things for Saturday. Have fun if you do venture out on bikes this evening!

It was raining in Witham, sounds like larger drops (on the 14 square meter plastic canopy that behaves a like a tent in making rain sound worse than it actually is). Hoping it all blows over before I leave for the OT via Spa Rd.
