The Eschbacher-Rutsch-Brunnen, commemorating the following prophetic event: In 1843 a crowd had assembled in the ruins of the Madenburg on a nearby hill for a music festival, celebrating the Pfalz being part for the German Reich for a thousand years. A violent storm drove them down again, washing away the path and turning it into a torrent of mud and gravel, through which they were obliged to slide on their backsides.
