Today m'boys and me had an utterly perfect day out in Greenwich. Just the most beautiful autumnal weather. And delicious food from the market. Very civilised meander round the maritime museum, and tree climbing in the park. Lovely.

Aw, we had lunch in Greenwich (and not Grinitch Spinach), and went up to the Observatory today.  Shame we missed you :(
Getting there...

I've been offered (and have accepted) a new job :)

Admittedly, it's a one year fixed term contract but a) it comes with a £5k pay rise and b) I'll get to do some REAL SCIENCE and play with obscenely powerful hardware. The possible downside is that it's based in Leeds, but then again it could be the excuse I need to buy the orange Brompton I've had my eye on :D

Any excuse for a Brompton!

Congrats, interzen! A job in the same town as your lady and a new Brompton? Can't be bad!

Were that it so - she's recently started a new job .... in Warwick.

Also, found out that the orange Brommie costs £920 :o Alternatives are being investigated - my preferred LBS don't do Bromptons, but they reckon they could do me a good deal on a Bike Friday Tikit. Having read about them, it's very tempting!

That's a pity.

Much though I like colourful bikes, the colours fade unevenly, making it impossible to touch up little dings well.

I'm leaving for two weeks here tomorrow: http://g.co/maps/3v3p4

I've promised the other half two weeks of no bicycles or traces of bicycles, so maybe this should be on the good news/bad news thread... But then again, I might give in and rent one just for a day to see how far I can get up the mountain before my lungs give in :).

1) I had a cracking good, really fab and lovely, weekend whilst the boys were ar their dad's

2) M'boys came home again yesterday afternoon

3) They'd had a good weekend too. With a trip to the beach :)

4) I just rode a.little over 8km to the hospital and back with no.significant pain

5) At the hospital I was.the physio's gold star pupil again. Really good.progress, new exercises to do and another appointment in 3weeks but with permission to cancel if I feel that I don't need it because I've made much better than expected progress and she seems confident that I can judge my level of improvement and need.

Hurrah!

Resuming from my last post on this thread, Mrs. Wow and I have been through a list of stuff and have selected a Thorn Raven Sport Tour (well now, there's a surprise) as her new bike, which we will order tomorrow. It will not be cheap but it will be worth it.
