Thanks for the good wishes. As part of the deal I've gained a 3 year old "sister" for MiniQ. This gave me an excuse to buy a child trailer off another forum member

Thank you WB. It's been 5 years since the dear Mrs Q passed away and for a while I wondered if I'd ever get sorted out again, but here I am and it's brilliant and she's fantastically lovely.

And she has a bike.

It's surprised me that I've been reading YACF that long (actually must have been the other place), that I remember that sad time. So pleased for you with this latest turn of events.

Much Happiness.

My copy of Group B Owners Edition has arrived.  This promises much eighties rallying goodness, as the mailroom droid appeared to be struggling to carry it.

I just bought a Thorn Voyager kiddyback tandem on the CTC site for a song! Includes mudguards, a pannier rack & kiddy cranks!

Yay! I'm hoping I can use it for the school run a.s.a.p.

Just had an email from On-One, my new gegs are on their way :)

I am now N-1.5, why is this good news? Well I just need to move on one more bike frame (which *may* be going in a week or so) and I can go back to N+1, although it will be N-X on aggregate....

I might be able to help you there ... seriously.
I've got a bunch of tyres that I'm never going to get rid of, even on fleaBay, so if you can make use of them you're more than welcome to have them.

Cool, if you really don't have a use for them, I think this is going to be an ongoing project, on the basis of today.  And Bernie from Bike Rescue was there and said they have plenty to get rid of too.

Of course, the best seller is the hardest thing to make, currently. We've been using bike chain links as rivets and they are the devil to get through thick tyres. We could downgrade to plain rivets, but the chain links are such a nice touch....

Anyway, that's all in the R and D process for the future. For now, I need tea, and pizza. Hell, I might nip out to the corner offie and get some beer!

Well, I've got two pairs of 'cross tyres which I'm never going to use (they came as standard on the Genesii, but I swapped them out for slicks pretty much straight away) and an old Conti Top Touring 2000 which has been in the shed for ages and I'd never fit on a bike due to potentially dodgy sidewalls. I reckon the 'cross tyres would make pretty good belts, although the knobblies on them would probably make them, erm, interesting to work with!

Either way, if you want 'em then you can have 'em - I can cut the beads off them as well, which will help with transport as I'll be able to fold them up.

Of course, you could always use old sprockets and whatnot to build trophies inna Scrapheap Challenge-stylee ;D
