Date came through for my foot operation- 25th May. After 18 months of frustration I'm hopefully going to be back running :) Shame about the 3 weeks in plaster, but hey, can't have everything!

You decided to opt for the earlier date then?

Any other good news you're wanting to share....?

I'm saying nothing lol :) But yes, I have indeed opted for the operation earlier, rather than doing Mille Alba, for other reasons. Make of it what you will :)

Tyres are orange, but it doesn't show well in the pic.  Need to swap them out, really, and only use them for smart occasions, since they are soft as butter.

Commiserations. Now she'll be wanting to use your car and/or have one bought for her (and worse, the insurance paid for)...

"lets see your wrist- That's Brilliant, looks great, loads better, in just a week!"

"How're you getting on with that bike?"
"You'd said 3 weeks"

"I knew you wouldn't wait. How's it going? Will you ride it in next week, I'd love a look at it"

Indeed she does.  I feel less guilty about being an enabler now...  ;D

In other good news, I've been out on my bike and *didn't* get hailed on.  It's been a while.

We drove down to the border, crossed into the US and filled up the gas tank and then drove back to Canada and offically 'landed' as Permanent Residents....it means that we can now actually start planning for the future here and I could, if I wanted to (and could afford it), quit my job and not get kicked out of the country :).

Just had a 'phone call from Pauline at the library.  'Full Tilt' by Dervla Murphy has come in, and is awaiting collection.

Quicker than Amazon, that.  And free.  I ordered it online this morning.   8)
