In similar vein, I've just been to that posh, expensive Waitrose and taken advantage of their 25p for 6 eggs. All because the Display Until date is today.

My other good news is actually yesterday's. The jug I made has turned out quite well.

Although on this side the handle is a little misshapen.

Thanks.  :) My jugs have turned out a lot better than my lopsided mug.  :D

Unfortunately the bowl I started making as a wedding present for Saturday after next won't be glazed and fired in time.  :(

My l'il sis (I'll have to be careful what I say about her now that she's registere on here!) popped round to see us yesterday with her FWMBAB.  On their bikes

And they'd been to a several of bike shops looking for a possible new bike for her.  Including the corner shop.  Who asked her if she baked too  ;D

She does chocolate crispy cakes.  And made me a chocolate bike cake for my birthday a couple of years ago, that I used to have a picture of for my avatar before a certain  somebody started getting me bridge of the day pictures that require a wider audience :)

I just order SmallestCub's birthday present.

With his name on the top tube.  And mudguards, because you can't start too early.

It's red - because they are fastest.

Get ready to do some sign-writing when the time comes to transfer LargerCub's current bike to SmallestCub's use.  'Cos he'll be used to having his name on it.

After over a week of general malaise, feeling unwell and lack of motivation, I went out for a FAST bike ride today. the second ones is not good, as I have Crohn's and it has been my tummy that has been playing up.

Guess what, the malaise, unwell feeling and lack of motivation must have dropped off me somewhere along the route.

Moar cycling tomorrow me thinks :)

I reluctantly went round to a friend's house for dinner, despite being late, tired and grumpy. Mrs Gordy is away, so I nearly called the whole thing off in preference to a Billy-No-Mates evening in front of the TV.

But I'm now back at home - stuffed full of cottage pie, plus seconds, plus lots of wine and I'm still laughing at one of the stories.

Friends are good for you.   ;D
