I'm in.

As we're heading east shall we meet in the car park of The Railway at just gone 1930 hrs rather than meet at the Roundabout of New Year Optimism?

I've done a little circular route which the Witham peloton might want to use this evening.

Can you confirm the meet up point - either Railway car park as upthread or the roundabout of doom as per route?

It's a bit too far west for me in January.  Anyone up for an EER outing ? Olde Albion, Rowhedge ?

Possibly.  I will need to make a call to try and re-schedule my prior engagement first though.

I’m a possible.  I’ve got to go into the office during the day but it’s a short evening ride.

A bit off thread - an "elderly cyclist in their 60's" was killed on Sunday morning on Fairstead Rd on NCN 16, no name and not heard anything other than mainstream news feeds. I do wonder how they would describe some of us!

I saw that, send shivers down the spine, tragic.  Like many of us I've ridden that bit of road hundreds of times.

I'm in my 60s, I wouldn't say I was elderly. It is tragic. My Sunday ride was frought with close passes.

The MEMWNS Trophy has been paased on to the next victim recipient. The formal ceremony went well - he didn't throw it at me, and we have some photos, but neither of us have figured how to put photos on this place. Low turnout was not a surprise, considering I was the only one that knew of the "plan".

the Recipient is Toby's Dad
