We’ll finish watching the recordings tonight, but it’ll be on iPlayer, a Swedish crime sort-of-reconstruction, The Hunt for a Killer. Based around real investigations, and excellently underplayed by the cast.

After the first two episodes in this series I thought it was losing its way a little - a bit aimless. Not any more.

I think the first two episodes were just warming us up. Not sure I could have coped if they'd gone in that hard from the start.

How's your heart rate?

I’m a few episodes behind. Not been in much of a TV watching mood lately. I’ve heard the finale is a big one, but fortunately have been able to avoid spoilers so far.

My Dear Wife has found on Youtube a very ancient (1978) Morecambe & Wise Christmas Special with Harold Wilson as the special guest. I don't remember that particular episode. Jan was pregnant with Dez at the time.

The BBC has just shown the 1971 M&W Christmas show with Shirley Bassey, Glenda Jackson and Andrew Preview, and are currently screening a previously lost edition from 1970.

The Witcher, Season 2. Much improved from Season 1.  I enjoyed it.

Oh I forgot to say for anyone interested the first new Travel Man was on tonight.
Yes I know it won't be the same without Richard Ayoade.
Do not clench. It only makes it worse.

We were obliged to watch that because:

It’s a repeat from five years ago, but Revolting Rhymes on iPlayer at the moment is absolutely brilliant.  Several Dahl pomes cleverly woven together, with beautiful animation.

Binging on Grimm. It shouldn't work, but it's a concept that's so stupid and so well executed that it does.

Mrs Legs and I are watching the heavily-trailed The Tourist on iPlayer.  It's a bit (read: very) far-fetched in many respects, but there's an entertaining amount of KILLIN' TO DETH and we're being kept surprised and amused.  Halfway through ep 5 of 6.

We watched Vigil on iPlayer, a 6-part submarine crime drama. We both really enjoyed it.

Minor problem with the last episode - no subtitles, so I had to translate some of the dialogue from Scottish accented English so Klaus could understand it.

Watched the Tourist.  Pro Tip: Stop watching after Episode 5.  Episode 6 is the end of the LotR with multiple endings that add nothing to the story IMO.  We paused on Mon night with 45 min to go of E6 and Tuesday night decided we wished we had left it there.

I'm watching this now. Production quality is really low, but the acting is reasonable and the story is quite good.

We didn't rate Vigil much, far too much suspension of disbelief required regarding the crew behaviour. Then we tried The Long Call, meh. Just finished Shetland - not too bad, and certainly the only Anne Cleeve adaptation (see the previously mentioned Long Call, and the execrable Vera) we've liked.

Probably be The Tourist next.

Rules of the Game on iPlayer.  Finished episode 2 and so far so good, I could see it going either way though.  I am finding it irritating that they keep implying that 2010 had the same sort of work culture you had in the 70s.

Two episodes into the most recent series of “Shetland”.  I am of the opinion that Jimmy is barking up the wrong gatepost* and also that the Scotsman did it.

* Not enough trees in Shetland to waste any on on being barked up, obv.

Why did no-one tell me that this series is a new one - I'll have to catch up with the first 2 episodes.

Binged the entire series of Afterlife 3 last night.

Genuinely don't understand why people rate it. Ricky Gervase as tragic angel. Handing out cheques in a children's cancer ward. FFS.

I heard him being interviewed about it on the radio the other day. It put me off wanting to watch it.

Sometimes, I think he based David Brent on himself.
