I assume they didn't know they'd be making 4 series given that name, and that Stalingrad is done by s2/ep 2 and S4 starts with the Nuremberg trials.
The reconstructions could have been a bit naff but aren't for some reason. Enough (excellent) talking heads and real footage that they didn't overpower, perhaps.
It uses the technique of showing behind the scenes stuff (eg clapperboard, cameras, subjects sitting down and adjusting their clothing) to establish the first contrbution of each talking head per episode, but not to the extent that Once Upon a Time in Northern Ireland does. What's its purpose?
I see you you're doing TRotN and OUATINI double as well rafletcher. I hope you have something else a little lighter on the palate as well.
