A great win by the English over France, with a wonderful line-out take and pass out of the tackle for a great try.Im not sure there’s an awful lot to talk about in the men’s game, well not if you’re an England supporter.
Oh.
You want to talk about the men's game...
Brexit in a nutshell.really? ::-)
Given the French team's reputation for total inconsistency I now expect them to lose to Italy :demon:Given Saturday’s match I would suggest that they will need to try really hard to achieve that. The England pack though...

Ireland Wales tomorrow. The wind will be at its strongest. Can't see there being many box kicks etc.
Might be a problem for the Welsh supporters if the planes and ferries home are cancelled.

Why should that be a problem? is there no alcohol in Dublin?
IANA expert, but I think travel insurance would cover folks.
Perhaps not the Guiness bill though ...

I thought the strong wind were forecast for Sunday.
I thought the strong wind were forecast for Sunday.
Possibly in the far East.
In west wales ,the yellow warnings for wind are for Saturday, 5he yellow warnings for rain are for Sunday.
In Ireland, it will be earlier.
Looking tight in Dublin.
though Scotlandland came on after the break like a pack of whirling dervishes. The seem to,have slowed a bit now though.Looking tight in Dublin.
Not really
Looking crappy at Murrayfield
Am I missing something here? Why are They giving odds on a Grand Slam by a team that cannot possibly achieve one?
Whenever Ziggy does a poo he looks like Dan Biggar about to take a penalty.
I just watched the highlight of France v Italy. If anyone scores a better try this season than that final Italian one, I will be mightily impressed. Breathtaking stuff from the favourites for the Wooden Spoon.
Am I wrong here? Italy were in possession when the clock was in the red. A try would have been their fourth, so they would have had a bonus point. If the try had been converted, itwould have given them a losing point as well.Far from the first time that 6Nations players have done similar. I put it mainly down to 2 things:
Ok. Bit of a long shot, but why did they kick it out?
Well. Gosh. All gone a bit quiet over here.
Anyway, I'm now rooting for France. They played well, and as far as I know, they have never won the 6 Nations.

Oh yes. Thanks.
And now they haven't won in Cardiff since....2020!
Anyone else think there was a French arm holding Biggar's try up?
I'm quite pleased with myself for managing more time on the bike than sat watching Rugby yesterday - just!
Today will be touch-and-go as well ...
try disallowed for a forward pass. I didn't think that was quite so clear-cut, but it's all down to camera angles I suppose.
Not sure it merited a penalty try, in spite of the protestations of the squeaky Welshovik in the colemantary box, but players have been sin-binned for less blatant deliberate knocks-on than that.Indeed. And 10 minutes with France down to 14 men might have cancelled the difference in points at the end.
Crock of shite is right. Somebody slipped us a mickey.
England seem to have got some of their mojo back for this match, but is not the most well tempered of games I’ve seen in recent years. At least we didn't keep a fight going for 2 minutes after final whistle. ;D
The funniest thing I've seen for ages was Owen Farrell clinging around an Irish ankle as the opposition player walked off, wearing him like a huge tag, and attempting to punch his lights out. That was rather amusing but I couldn’t work out what caused him to hang on like that.
I think tempers have always tended to fray in big matches. Is it getting any nastier? I'm not sure that it is. I can think of a few players from over the years with a reputation for foul play. One that I have my doubts about in the current batch is Stuart Hogg. He was infamously yellow- and red-carded for the same off-the-ball incident, flattening Dan Biggar, a few years back, and I've noticed a couple of times since that he seems to go in unnecessarily with a risk of hurting his opponent. I'm thinking of him defending against a try in another match and there was no way he could stop the player scoring, but he did leap on him aggressively a second or so after the ball had been grounded.

Both the Italy-Ireland matches have been postponed. Presumably that will give IRE a bit more rest before the biggie against France?
(assuming I've got the schedule right ...)
Good point. But it will only be a problem if people can easily move between France and Italy. Both the Italy-Ireland matches have been postponed. Presumably that will give IRE a bit more rest before the biggie against France?

By the time that comes round the Coronavirus situation is likely to have escalated further.
Do we feel a Pools Panel coming on?

Toss of a coin ultimately, I think
Yesss!!!

I wonder what's happening with the postponed England v Italy game. I suppose the final result will have to wait.
2001 Six Nations didn't get finished until late October thanks to Foot & Mouth.
