The sandals are sandals, but I'm impressed by your world championship in bead threading.  ;D

A lifelong dedication to trivia dear boy! I wondered if anyone, ever, would make sense of the colour sequence :D

And having ridden in the rain for hours the other day, it seems the beads are painted with a water based product, as they have started to bleed. Oh the folly :-[

Wazzat stem? It appears to be longer-than-usual quill stem - where'd you get it?

Ta.

'Tis a 195mm tall Nitto Technomic 130mm stem length. Can't remember now where I bought it. It took a bit of a find, not many of the usual suspects carrying stock of that length. After a great deal of quick thought, it might have been Hubjub?

I had some shoes like that.
Boyfriend of the time wore them to his grandfather's funeral.

Sixty quid at Planet X

Thanks! I've been pondering a pair of these, which are also very reasonably priced, but they look like they're straps and clips only.

They are indeed Quoc Phams, the fixed model I think. They are quite dear but a comparable cost to the Vittoria Classics which look similar but I don't think they are leather, and compared to Dromarti they are positively reasonable. If you want a pair of classic looking shoes there isn't an extensive choice.

Updated post to include kinky knitting

There's a large enough version on the Flickr link to be able to follow the pattern, in case any YACFers wanted to get their needles out?
