do elite fluid turbo trainers wear out

I am bored stiff & have been banned from one armed  on the road bike riding . ( Bennett fracture so hand in plaster ) . I have been offered a well used elite wireless turbo trainer with  hight block , spare turbo tyre/wheel & thong !!! . It has power measure things and resistance things & includes a bloke to set it up and show me what knobs to fiddle with ( STEADY BOYS ) cost  to me £ 120.00 . Or should I buy a new elite  basic Qubo  fluid For £ 160.00 & read the instructions .  Or can some one recommend me a turbo that is more interesting than watching  breakfast tv .

Not quite sure why you need a thong on a turbo?!? But each to their own I suppose ;D

I was lent some Sufferfest videos to make the turbo more interesting

I am told it stretches from handle bars to saddle so you can balance your  cup of tea and cake  on it .
