Looks like I'll be along this evening. ETA 20:30 as I've been asked to include some scenery on the route.

By "scenery" I take it you mean dogging sites?

Time for a bit of rough tonight - byways of the Easters, Pleshey, that track with a ford on the Chelmer near Littley Green.

By the way everyone: page 600 of MEMWNS! Little things like that are exciting in times like these, or is that just me?

Just you Tom!

Should be out tonight. Spa round for 7, just trying to get some colonials to wrap up this zoom call....
Turn, turn, turn again

Gentle loop from here as the spiritual home is a little close.  Had a long day out yesterday.

Assuming we're back to The Spiritual Home this week I have prepared the Witham peloton A FUN ROUTE SUGGESTION.

Also could I add an item to the agenda that being discussing the finer points of Wild Camp Night on Friday?

I won't be out this Wednesday - note to the bivi contingent: I will probably say yes to anything OD says relating to Wild Camping on Friday Night: curry, beer, community singing with kazoos round a driftwood fire, brew-off at dawn etc. Afterwards, I think I'm just going to keep riding, with a bivvying tour round Planet Essex over the (possibly long) weekend. If I don't get a cycling holiday in soon, the weather will change and autumn gales will be with us before we know it.

It’s definitely at the spiritual home as jiber and the team car have already reserved pies for Wednesday. We will have Grain Lignum Vitae 6.5% on for a guaranteed messy evening...
You can’t just call time out and stroll on into the beach if you don’t like the way things are goin’.

What are the odds of OD's Garmin screwing up on a route like that?

BTW, I have massaged Ruby's asking for a table for 4 at 2000hrs on Friday evening.   If there are more or less of us I can amend the booking as the week unfolds assuming they have a table in the first place.

Prediction: one or more visitations around the 10.5 mile point.

Last time I rode Paulk Hall I couldn't complete the crossing on the last bridge as the water was too deep on the other side of it to reach the road!  I ended up having to cross the fields and nearly died in a muddy bog near St Mary's Church!

It's looking very unlikely for me on Friday I'm afraid!

Riding a Tomsk 200 tomorrow before temps go a bit mad again.

I’ll see how smashed I am by the finish.

Should be ok for 20:00 if I leave at 18:00, about 25 miles from Dunmow, unless I meet you in Witham en-route?
