Jojo Rabbit is on C4 at 9pm.
Do not clench. It only makes it worse.

Catching up with some older recordings, Tokyo Vice a dramatised memoirs of an American journalist working on a Tokyo newspaper. Really enjoying it.

Yeah, this was really good. Looking forward to season 2, except I managed to spoil a lot of it by reading his book.

At the end of a week that could have been better, got home from my post-Scouts supermarket run to find The Long Good Friday is on Film 4. That's better.

Edge of Darkness is getting a  re run on BBC4. The proper one, the mini series with Bob Peck, Joanne Whalley and Joe Don. Baker.

First screened in1985, still worth every minute.

That was re-run a few years ago too. My wife and I were discussing it recently having watched an "Abandoned Engineering" about Chernobyl and Pripyat, and we agreed it had aged very well.  I'm not sure it'll stand a third watching though, excellent though Peck and Baker were in it.

ETA: But it seems we're going to give it a go :-)

Being a FOREIGN Miss von Brandenburg had never heard of it.  I lent her the DVDs.

“Wow!” she said.

Watched the Chris Packham “Inside Our Autistic Minds” thing the other night. Didn’t intend to but it came on and I was gripped from beginning to end. Fascinating, and deeply moving. And hugely educational in how it conveys what it means to be autistic.

Quite enjoying the TV series version of What We Do In The Shadows – the first episode was a bit meh, but it soon finds its feet. Or wings. Vulval topiary. Bless.

Servant, some M. Nocturnal Salamanagabang stuff, marginally spookertaining with some bonus Philadephia location spotting (probably less fun if you've not spent a lot of time in Philly). Slightly spoiled by the two protagonists being the sort of annoying smug twats you want to see chewed up by hungry Hell hounds.

Thanks for this recommendation.  I'd never heard of it before but am enjoying it.  Couldn't help smirking when Craven visits Terry Shields (a very young-looking Tim McInnerney), who, when asked "Did she call you Tel?" replies "She called me Darling!"

"grace's amazing machines"

Been staying with one grandson, who loves vehicles. So I'm roped into watching Grace's amazing machines.

It is great. Presenter exploding with enthusiasm.

A bit of googling reveals that she presents several programs on EVs. Might have to have a watch.

TV's Guy Martin's new series on C4 on Sunday nights is worth a look if you like TV's Guy Martin, electricity production and distribution or, in the case of last night’s episode, blonde Scandiwegian-looking lady helichopter pilots.

Technically, I should watch that.   I note that no-one in the office knew about it, though.

Ant & Dec's Saturday night takeaway.  Easy to dismiss as cheesy populist stuff, however you have to have a heart of stone not be moved by the 'place on the plane' segment.  (It's on ITV i-player)
