I can't make my mind up.

Mrs JT and I have gone for the last 3 years and after last year's we were a bit... meh.

If we do go it'll be on the Saturday (which is also my birthday) but that will mean I can't do the FNRttC the night before - and I'd hoped to do all of them this year.

I should be there, but possibly stuck in a meeting in one of the back rooms.

I was tempted by both - FNRttC, train back from brighton, couple of hours and lunch at the show, train home, sleeeeep.

depends on work tho, so it might be one or the other.

Probably not.

A closing time of 6pm means I can't get there Friday after work.
Saturday I'm cycling up to Thorne.
Sunday I get back into London at about midday but I'll probably just want to go home rather than look at more bikes.

I've been the last couple of years but, to be honest1, it just doesn't excite me that much at all. I'd rather do a few laps of Richmond Park in sleet than wander around a hall looking at lots of shiny bikes on stands.

I might be going to the trade day on the Thursday. But it'll be a down-and-back-in-a-day trip. We're off on holiday the week after and I'm running out of days off...

So its just stands of bikes, is there cheap cycling gear or any other redeming features?

Gah.  How inconsiderate of my friends to coincide their wedding with the cycle show... ::-)

;D

I won't be going this year, unless I pop in late on the Sunday.  It might be nicer to cycle up to the wedding and back though.

For some reason I thought I remembered reading that there wasn't much to buy there last year. I might go if I thought it was a retail opportunity.

Not a good weekend - what were the organisers thinking?!?

Bugger!  Just realised I'm in the same boat.  Your friends aren't called Alex and Victoria by any chance...

But I should be able to make the Sunday.

You can buy clothing and some other stuff like energy drinks and that.

It's also usually possible to place orders with those exhibitors that can't handle retail at the show.

Foska didn't have any stock there last year, but they did have a selection of jerseys you could try on to make sure the sizing was right and then you could place an order.

They did, at least  on the Saturday morning - I was with my mate when he bought a crash test dummy jersey.  I also got a free water bottle from them for wearing my pirate jersey to the show.

I have been to the last 4 shows I think. I got to meet Eddy in 2006. Didn't get his autograph and he wouldn't give me a bike. All that paled into insignificance though, cos I got to meet alchemy
