Arch, on her way to work as I was on my way to work, yesterday.

This, but vice versa!

Wandering through the small French town of Loche today I bumped into John Spooner, aka Salvatore. He'd just finished a Belgian 1200, had cycled down to the Loire for the start of the Massif Central 1200 and once he's done that he's cycling from here to Milan to do the Mille Miglia. Then he's cycling home again. Makes me think I need to get on my bike a bit more!

Mcshroom, drinking a quick coffee in the den, since he popped by on the off chance that we'd be in to drop off the EldestCub's camping stove that he borrowed a bit ago, and collect a phone battery that he accidentally left behind on a prior visit.

'Cos, like, popping by on the off-chance is what you do when you live a 6 or so hour drive away :D

(OK, he actually had a reason to be an hour or two east of here and was, more or less, passing on his way home.  But it made me laugh when I answered the door!)

Have you fixed your door bell yet?
Shocked, I was.  Kim, ace fettler and molisher with a non-functioning door bell?
"Can't be." I thought to myself. "it's prolly linked through a 'puter and that camera I can see in the front window and doing some sort of Barakta friendly silent notification complete with facial recognition and everyfink.

Nah,  It just doesn't work. :-)

It does if you poke it.   >:(

Think the switch could do with a bit of contact cleaner.  Or the whole lot chucking in the bin and replacing with some good old-fashioned wires.

Wendy today, teeching peeps how to skate in Hyde Park. (Ok, on Sunday afternoon that is akin to shooting fish in a barrel) - he did appear a bit bemused but said hello anyway. I moved on rapidly as his charges appeared to need his attention.

The Cubs, a spare 10 yo and me saw that there Deano, in the rather drizzly but utterly splendid South Park in Darlo.  For only the second time ever since I first met him on KTTR (counts on fingers and does Hard Sums - almost exactly 2 years ago!) he turned up with NO bike.  But he managed to do some pedalling anyway.

And today the Cubs and I adventured to Toytown on Very Important Cake business - where we spotted, and delivered a posh picnic to, a rather tired (not that it showed) LindaG who has worked far too hard this week.

We were at the olympics road race today. Saw Russell, as we're at the same camp site. Also saw the pikes flying down the course, ian rauk and jurek. Saw from a distance am unknown purple yacf jersey. Edit: and Tim Decker.

That there Deano, who the Cubs introduced to the delights of the NRM, and with whom we also spotted Arch who was out in Beryl the Yellow Peril (who almost counts as a forumite).  Then, once the Cubs had wandered off for the night (which technically involves a spotting of CrinklyLioness, I s'pose!) a subsequent extended spotting of Tiermat, Arch (again), Phantasmagoriana, Mr Bunbury, CrinklyUncle and CrinklyAuntie at the station and for a rather pleasant bimble out for beige food and brown drinks.

Spotted AndyC and Flat earth bob. They are at the next table in the restaurant on the ferry to St Malo also on there way to Niort for the Sem Fed. They are cheating though since they have a car with them :o

Late commute in today, for a bit of a half-day at work.

Many cyclists out and about, including one Mrs Pingu near Fettercairn.

Say hello to the old bugger, and Bob. You might ask Bob when he changed his name from 'Half-wheel' to 'Flat Earth'. I seem to recall him being presented with a half-wheel trophy somewhen.
