Spotted Clarion while I was on my estate walking the dog. I yelled but I was slightly set back from the road so he didn't hear me over the traffic noise.

Nope, you were going too quickly, I just had time to clock the red YACF jersey and the saddlebag. Luckily I think the people who did hear me thought I was calling the dog, so I didn't look too much like a loon shouting at no one....

What kind of estate is it you think NSTN has? :o

Unless the dog is a tyke.

Valiant around 17:30 on Turner's Road, heading toward Limehouse.  I gave a shout, but wasn't heard.

Yesterday, around 17:20, same road, same direction, riding behind some other unknown cyclist.  Again, not heard.  :(

I think next time I'll just ride directly into his path.  :P

I'm so excited - this is my first post here!

Tonight I was joined by velocitizen! We spent a very pleasant (ie: we only got beeped once for cycling 2 abreast) couple of miles riding into Long Eaton.

It definitely was the most pleasant part of the ride because about 14 seconds after we parted the skies delivered some very old testament thunder, lightning and rain.

Very nice to have you along on my commute, VC. Hopefully see you soon.

Blimey - when I spotted VC again on Tuesday, I had no idea that it was more than 2 years since the last one!

Nice to see you again, VC.

Well, I don't see him for 2 years, and then suddenly it's every week (VC spotted again yesterday).
What's so funny about peace, love and understanding?

Nice to see you as well Paul.
I ride with Beeston CC on a Tuesday night, a hilly 30 miles out towards Morley, up a few of the Pie Run hills.
A ride through Long Eaton makes a good warm-up.
I'm sure our paths will cross again.

VC thought I'd been ignoring him for 2 years when really I just couldn't see him

Now that I know this, can I still claim you as a spot each time?

Just spotted the Kim.
I clocked the Street Machine coming up the hill towards me as I was walking down to Bournville village.
"Funny looking bike." quoth she, looking down at Mrs. B's dog, who was taking me for a walk.
Admission.  I'm actually not that fussed about cake.

Yesterday, I inexplicably caught up with Origamist at Stockwell.  Because of a lot of red lights, I was nearby till about Clapham Common, when he got away.

Today, I was spotted in Tooting by Gaz, the famous helmetcam cyclist.

Not by me, but someone was spotted by topcat of Cyclechat last night

Who was that, then?  I've commuted that way through RP a few times (it's not very far out of my way), but I didn't last night.  So - Zipperhead? Wascally?

I hope you were expecting them to be there, otherwise that might have given you a start big enough to spill your tea (and we don't want that to happen)

Well, I had caught sight of Wowsa's post that their plans had changed and guessed that they may be passing my way (or may already have done so). I was out mowing the lawn when a cheery greeting alerted me to their presence, so no tea was spilled. Gossip was indulged in and they are now on their way to Long Melford and points beyond.

It was me!  He was kind to suggest that I was honking up the hill.  I was going quite slowly (about 9mph) but might have looked quick in comparison to another person I was overtaking at the time who was doing about half that.

The person I now know to be topcat was very nice and said “Hello yacf!” as he sped past.  He was going much quicker.
