I spotted him yesterday, had a nice chat over a pint at lunchtime...

Jolly nice chap, that jellied guy
I feel like Captain Kirk, on a brand new planet every day, a little like King Kong on top of the Empire State

beat me to it on both counts.

Chain slackness solved thanks to C.  - loss of chain twice in 200 metres rather than once a month may have been related to speed one does when not cycling solo.
A shitter and a giggler.

Charlotte again this morning at the Polish War roundabout.  Our routes start at the same point but split and then briefly cross, it was bound to happen eventually.

Gah - sorry I didn't notice you.  It would have been pointless calling out to me, too - I was halfway through "My Way" (Sex Pistols version, natch).

:hand: My Way was not Sex Pistols, but on Sid Sings, credited to Sid Vicious (though Steve Jones did play guitar on it).  </punkgeek>

I think I saw a forumite steaming up Carshalton Road towards Mitcham last night, wearing an ?orange? (the light isn't very good there) jersey.

Someone leaned out of a Landrover-type vehicle and shouted "Auntie Helen!" on Wednesday. I didn't recognise him - maybe one of the YACFers? It was between Great Bromley and Colchester.

I now have a mental picture of you wearing Vivienne Westwood tartan bondage trousers and a ripped T-shirt, with a safety pin through your nose and a scowl on your face.

Kind of like Sid Snot, but with a Carradice saddlebag  :)

A bit like that, yes. ;D  And I was only 12 in 1976, so no bondage trousers for me.  Besides, I was more of a Northern punk (a la Buzzcocks etc) rather than an emulator of the Bromley Contingent, who we tended to regard as fashion victims.  We wore black.

Maybe.

Anyway, at 9.08 yesterday morning I spied Wendy on his upwrong heading north past Bromley.  I was being a mondeo-enger taking elder son to band practice.  Then at about 6 in the evening I had just dropped daughter at Downham pool and there was Wendy heading back down the A21.

I had no samosas with me.

:D  It was me!  Egad my butt is achy now, although much better since I bought a wider saddle.   :-[ :-[

You sir, ride a lady's saddle sir  :P :P

I saw a couple of Things in Sutton.  2 was hanging around a bike shop, trying hard not to buy stuffs, but 1 was out riding the Palace, and came back enthused.

Actually, I spotted Dobbin first, a noble steed, waiting patiently outside...

Aunty Charlotte at the real tweed deal cycle ride.  About a 1000 of the sods cycled through, stopped my lesson completely.  LOL!
