Cycling on my local monthly cycle rides today found us using a bit of the Oxford to Cambridge route for a few miles. I was passed by a bloke and thought he looks familiar

I passed him going up through Woburn park and on stopping to wait for the others in my group he pulled up and asked who I was on the forum

Saw Little Wheels and Big and Velo Yellow (of course) at the start of the Perth-Albany-Perth 1200 an hour ago. Also (not sure of forum names here) Judith Swallow, Peter Turnbull and Julian Dyson.

Weather fine and cool (9 degrees at the start). 86 starters.

Well, he saw me, but, since I saw him back, this isn't another self-spot $:-\$

It's a bit dispiriting to be doing 30kph, passing other cyclists, and have someone steam past not seeming to be making any effort...

I'm having to get used to it.

I don't think that I'm massively slower than I used to be. I think there are a lot more fast riders than there used to be 15-20 years ago.

Well, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Quite apart from Andrij (who I was riding with), Rogerzilla and the FNRttS folk who I was riding to, Wendy teaching people how to roller blade in Hyde Park. They seemed to be having fun.
