I'll have a go then.

Can I have a connection (there are probably many) between Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin and Wings?

Linda Eastman took portraits of both Hendrix and Joplin when she was working as a photographer. And then she learned to play keyboards...

And then she learned to play keyboards...

That's debatable!

I suspected there might be a few, but it's not the one I'm after. Think more musical (how difficult would that be?).

I think it might be Chas Chandler, who may have produced them all at some point.

Mitch Mitchell had some connection with Wings - did he fill in when the regular drummer was unavailable or something?  And I believe he worked as a session musician for Joplin...

I checked Wikipedia - he auditioned for Wings, but didn't get it! :o

No connection I could find to Janis, though.

I think we're thinking of the wrong Wings.

There's one that supported Big Brother & The Holding Company, and I'm guessing that either Hendrix did too, at some point, or else Wings supported the Experience.

Oh, that Wings.  ::-)

I thought this supposed to be a pop quiz, not a quiz about obscure entries in old duffers' record collections. Where are the questions about Tinchy Stryder and Katy Perry?

;)

It's the usual Wings.  ::-)

And my music collection is utterly Wings free.  :thumbsup:

ditto. It's not a very good quiz, if this was in a Pub, I'd have thrown the towel in and be pissed by now, annoying everyone else.

Has it got something to do with Henry McCullough?  He was in Macca's Wings for a while; he was also in Eire Apparent, who supported The Garry Henpecked Exposition Experience.

Can't think of a Joplin connection, but then I'm not terribly au fait with her stuff.

Mr L. has it. Apparently he  was "romantically" associated with Ms Joplin for a while.
