Contemplating buying a tractor, and all the difficult decisions that entails...

Just come back from the shop with a copy of Practical Tractor in a plain brown wrapper.

Oo-arrr indeed.  There's a whole new world of obsession out there :)

I drove my tractor through your haystack last night
I threw my pitchfork at your dog to keep quiet

I can't quite believe I've come to a place in my life where I'm getting interested in agricultural accoutrements  :)

I've just done the years second "big shop".

I can't do my normal shop using the bike trailer, and what I can sensibly carry back from Sainsburys is inly enough for day to day stuff.  I needed some heavy things, or just lots of some smaller stuff, so I decided it was time to get the car out.

Generally it's a bit silly to use a car to go to Sainsburys, since it's about 3/4 mile away, but if I can make it worth it, I'll use it, and I can't really do even a moderate shop on foot at the mo.

I did manage to entirely fill the boot up, about a dozen of mostly the large reusable shopping bags, an the kitchen is still partially filled with shopping, much to Talisker's annoyance!
Actually, it is rocket science.

Flapjackery.  Waiting for the butter and syrup and sugar to melt.  Listening to the Detroit Cobras, which is indeed excellent music to bake to.  And eating a cold jacket spud, which is very tasty....

I was amazed to discover that what Americans call flapjack is something entirely different, some kind of pancake apparently. However they do have something like our flapjack, under another name which I have forgotten  :-[
EDIT: they call it Hudson Bay bread/bars

Thinking I shouldn't have had that fourth pint of Peroni.
I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that.

Watching the AM show with a purring cat on my lap.
The cat's just got off my lap, leaving me both hands for the keyboard

I am listening to next door build his house extension and to MrsC making CAEK downstairs.
I am dreading having to re-start the sudden attack of decorating.  :hand:

Decorating?  I'm sitting down to a coffe after plastering the 2 thirds of a bathroom wall with a basin, a light and a light switch on it.  The ceiling is 2.8 m high.  I think I might take the rest of the day off and go on a bike ride.

I'm a total DIY wimp.  Our decorating consists of painting the walls and woodwork and 'sort of' fitting a piece of carpet.

The only plastering I get involved with needs BEER

Threatening bobb that if he doesn't make a decision about what he wants to do this afternoon, I will make him go to a garden centre and look at flowers and then we will return home and watch episode after episode of Friends whilst listening to Nicola Roberts' new album.

Have just tidied up the kitchen, having a break, and then cleaning the bathroom. My domesticity has inspired my husband into cleaning the oven too

Today's stint is now over.  "All" I have to do tomorrow is lay the carpet.  Trouble is, MrsC is now saying things like "That was pretty easy, we could do the other bedroom as well and we've even got enough paint left"
