Stuffing the brevet cards from my audax into envelopes to send back to all those that finished. Praise be to envelopes that don't require licking.
And, for those that do, Sellotape is your friend. You know how I know this.  ;)
It's a bit weird, but actually quite wonderful.

Pritt-Stick(TM). No faffing with Sellotape(TM), works on envelopes that require sticking and those that don't.

Faffing and procrastinating.

And browsing camping kit websites.

That sounds like fun :D.
I'm listening to Mitch Benn on youtube - it started with his new song about the BBC and then I got sidetracked ;D.

Tinkering with a client's website, listening to Philip Glass and occasionally stroking the sleeping cat beside me just to make him "chirrup" and start purring.

Sorting out 3 large crates of cables.  Currently on SCSI and Parallel port leads...

My DVT scan came back with a good result. Also, the arthritic swelling in my foot is receding and the foot now merely feels as though it has been crushed, rather than feeling as though it was on fire. At least I can get it in a shoe again.

Back on the bike tomorrow.

Seriously GOOD news.  Hope it continues to improve and you get back to your normal daily mileage.

Those things breed.  We must have chucked a couple of dozen when we moved to London, and I still keep finding them!

The no-printers-that-can't-speak-postscript-over-ethernet rule makes them extra pointless.

1) not sleeping
2) swearing at the intertubes because any radio stream I want to listen to either sounds garbled or keeps cutting out.

Attempting about the dozenth Windows install of the day.

If this one fails as well (on recent experience this seems likely!) I'll keeping on going tomorrow before I give in, send the box off to our support bods, and order a new one.

That way I'll get the OS installed eventually, but get a working box in a couple of days so I can do what I need to do with it.  The older one will probably be returned eventually, but I'm not expecting it to be particularly fast!
Actually, it is rocket science.

Sitting on the train home, more pissed than I expected. Taxi home from the station, then a ride in to get the car tomorrow - excellent.

Feeling grumpy, and I don't even know why.  And I still feel grumpy after having made two different sorts of cake.

grump grump grump.

Maybe I should go and clean my bike.  It's utterly revoltingly filthy, and cleaning my bike often cheers me up.

Awesome.

She is brilliant.  And I'm not at all surprised that she's awesome live.

Does she build up all those layered tracks from scratch live, too?  I saw her do it on a vid of Later...

Yes, she did Black Horse and the Cherry Tree, and a few other songs featured "Wee Bastard".  There was a technical hitch at the start of one song she did solo, with drum machine and keyboard, but she had an Emergency Joke prepared for the occasion.  There was a cover version of "A Little Respect" in the encore, which was brilliant.  The (not entirely) new band are really good, particularly Charlotte Hatherley (complete with red hair) on guitar.

Charlotte Hatherley?  Of Ash?  Wow.

I thought she was working with Natasha Khan/Bat for Lashes these days.  Maybe she's diversifying her portfolio. ;D

I;m sitting looking wistfully out of the window at the cold sunshine and wishing I was out there :-[

Instead I'm sitting writing a planning paper for a complete revamp of our business next year, which , believe or not, is rather complicated.

I'd rather be on my bike

Waiting for an XP install to finish.  Considering going to the staffroom and liberating yet another slice from the cake mountain, and making another cuppa.  Feeling slightly (are you ready for this Kim, it's a shocker) nippy whenever I wander away from the radiator that this pooter is next to despite the fact that I am wearding a cardi.  Wondering if I'll ever get the last of the crud off my hands that I got on my hands whilst cleaning the bike (because it was still covered in Burnby mud from Saturday) yesterday.

And looking out the window, thinking I'd rather be on my bike.
