Okay, finally got round to reading that one myself. It's the suspense that makes it...

I never really understood why people get quite so hung up about having things stuck up their arse, though. Especially in a medical context.

I had to read it in about three or four.. err... sittings with a break in between to mop my eyes, take deep breaths and calm down.

The last time I had anything stuck up my arse, the "sticking up the arse" bit went almost unnoticed next to the searing pain it was meant to provoke. (It was to check whether I really had appendicitis and, oh yes - I definitely did!)

Waiting for the man from Tesco to deliver the bottle of whisky I am supposed to receive in exchange for getting up at stupid o'clock this morning to take TWFKAML to St Pancras; and watching a man in a BMW being utterly hopeless at getting out of the side road. I bet Tesco man now does not come because of the SNO.

Have just finished dismantling an old PC hard drive, destroyed the discs with the data, put the aluminium out for recycling, saved the Torx screws and as a bonus I now have a really powerful fridge magnet

I just connected up my pond heater (basically a little heated stick that floats in polystyrene) to stop the pond freezing over while I am at work tonight. It's also much easier than kettles of boiling water. The Koi seem very impressed and are now worshipping it like it is their sun god.

Ineffectually cleaning an 8 1/2 year old oven. No products really work on burnt-on stuff that has turned to carbon. It's really a matter of removing the lumps and stopping it smelling until it gets replaced.

Trying to summon the energy to wander out in the cold to buy milk so I can have a cuppa and paracetemol for a poorly head. Meant to be going out later, and actually I just want to stay home and curl up on the sofa - probably snuggled up in the slanket that Dearly_Beloved got as a christmas present from work.

Hope you are feeling better soon! Have just popped out to the local Co-op and stupidly wore my trainers with holes in, soaked through in 3 minutes.

Enduring Strictly because Mrs S is lovely, made me shepherd's pie for dinner, and she deserves to watch TV without worrying about whether it "annoys me".
