Picked up my Brevet card this afternoon. Had my bike checked over by a highly recommended local bike shop (rear mech hanger was bent leading to rough shifting). Have oiled the chain. And loaded the bike. Only errand left is to post my drop bag to the finish in the morning.

Do you have a spare hanger or did the shop replace the bent one?  (I'm very suspicious of previously-bent hangers).

Good luck and no bum sores!

It's likely (knowing that her bike is made of steel) that the hanger is made of steel and part of the dropout. Those can be straightened without consequence (it's usually just a tiny amount).

Enjoy the ride Julia  Weather doesn't seem too bad, yr.no reports 8 / 2 degrees C even for Pulmankijärvi up North.
