From the team who brought you The Three Shires and The Macc Monster (See Thread) comes another brand new Cycle Sportive for your diaries!

KidsCan and Peak Cyclesport introduce...
PEAK 100
We've taken the best elements from our events last year - spectacular route spread across Cheshire, Derbyshire and Staffordshire, full route signage, feedstation and support.
It's 'only' 100kms, or more accurately 105kms, but it's all quality, with very little filler.

Making use of mainly backroads, with only very brief main road transitions, the PEAK 100 promises to be a spring classic. Check out our feedback from 3Shires and the Macc Monster and join us in raising funds for KidsCan.

The event features:
•   Event start facilities inc toilets, changing and free car parking
•   Start pack inc. rider number, energy products and sponsor forms
•   Full route signposting
•   Sag wagon support
•   Event photographer
•   Well stocked main Feedstation
•   Publication of rider times
•   Finish facilities inc toilets and changing
•   Finish BBQ

The website is in currently production, but we couldn’t wait to tell you about it!
If you would like to sign up, please CLICK HERE

If you would like more information on KidsCan the link is here, but getting you all interested in the cycle is more important right now!

... in which case there's always the Cheshire Peak Grimpeur, a snip at £3.50 and no SAEs required.  I won't tell anybody how long it took you

Hi Jethro.

As it's not a race, I hope this won't be a problem!
If you would prefer for your time not to be published, the team at the end of the cycle can make sure of that.

Hi Fungus

Our other cycle sportive, The Macc Monster, was incredibly cost effective.
We were donated bottles of water and other items for our riders as the event if for charity.
The only things which cost us was the catering and the signage.

The majority of the £25 will come to KidsCan. In fact the more riders we have, the more cost effective the whole event is, so please sign up today!

Also, if you would like to raise sponsorship for the ride, everyone who takes part will be sent sponsor forms.

Many thanks,

Chris

Roaches Revenge takes in the climbs of  Longstone Edge the Roaches, Crowdicote and Abney.

Details at Mar 05 - Hathersage 112 - (AAA 2.5)

Any queries please contact me.

Yes, a big thumbsup for Olly's rides, which really do have excellent routes.

My own Autumn in the Peak event was originally an Olly creation, although I've altered it quite a bit as cafe's close and new ones open. It was through Olly that I discovered the brilliant routes up to Abney Moor, which appear at first to be a touch gratuitous until you see the brilliant views down to Foolow.

So, good work, chap.

KidsCan, have you posted on other forums such as cyclechat, bike radar & cycling weekly?  I think there would probably be more sportive riders on bike radar & cycling weekly than here

Olly, I'll see you for one of the peak rides, hopefully the Roaches revenge

We do find ourselves in an odd situation in that this section is labelled "and Cyclosportive" (which makes sense) but 99% of it is Audax (which also makes sense...)

KC; all sportive posts are welcome on this board; as others have said it's predominantly Audax but sportives definitely go here too and we'd like to see them

there have been a few less than enthusiastic posts about other sportives here but just ignore them  :)

Hi Everyone!

Due to adverse weather – fog so thick you could have knitted with it – we didn’t manage to get any filming done the other day!
Rest assured the dedicated website Domain name registration & web hosting from 123-reg is nearly live!
This will contain all the documents you need to take part, including the links to the GPX files for your satnavs, route maps and route notes!

In the meantime, please visit our Events Website to sign up! - PEAK 100 | KidsCan | Curing Children With Cancer

Thanks for your comment too Zoom!
I had one of those toys in your avatar when I was little!
How time flies...

Many thanks!

Just a quick note.

We're hoping to get the same caterers who did The Macc Monster so those of you who took part in that will hopefully be more tempted to come along!

Hi Everyone!

With an expected 100+ participants taking part I thought I'd let you all know that about the signage for the course.

Make sure you look out for bright neon orange A2 PEAK 100 signs!

If you have any suggestions as to how we can make sure our riders can't miss our signs, please let me know!
Kind Regards,

KidsCan

Hi All,

This has been brought to my attention and I thought you all might be interested!
As the PEAK 100 is Cheshire, Derbyshire and Staffordshire in the morning, you can have your feet up in front of the telly watching Paris Roubaix on Eurosport in the afternoon! Doesn't get much better.

And the weather forecast is great too!

Over 125 taking part now!
