Bad News; I'm now sleeping on the bed settee for the next 10 days

Good News; It not too uncomfortable

Good news: Spa have leather saddles back in stock, and I have a birthday coming up.

Bad news: My dearest has already chosen my birthday present, and said birthday marks the passing of 'early 40s' to 'mid 40s' and downhill to 50

mrcharly, my next door neighbour's birthday was last week; he said, "I'm now officially in my mid-eighties." He's 84. I've known him since he was 49 and every year he has said, "Well, I won't see this year out!". You are as young as you're ever going to be, so try and enjoy every minute! Happy birthday, when it comes!

Bad news : last August I lost an Abus cafe lock outside a pub in St. Keverne,Cornwall.

I replaced with another one almost immediatley

Good news : today I found that Abus cafe lock.Not in St. Keverne but in my Barley saddlebag whilst fettling various luggage & kit.

Bad News: my home broadband is down AGAIN. I've connected on my Voda dongle.
Good news: the mobile connection is fairly stable and fast.

Bad news ... Winstanleys best "offer" is to sell me a rack for more than it's on sale in Halfords

Good news ; went out on my bike for the second consecutive Sunday

Bad news ; the group were too fast
the route was too lumpy
I was dropped early (10km in ) & in effect had a solo ride
the gearing on the Trek is unkind to my knee; it's now giving me some real grief

More Good news : I'm scoffing a slab,the size of a dustbin lid,of Marj's lemon meringue
