The good news:
The weather looks good for the ride this evening.

The bad news:
I have a bloody painful sinus & ear infection, & I'm not up to it. I don't think I can even do the direct to the pub pootle.

Good news: I have found the nectarine that did not make it into the fruit bowl after I went to the market a fortnight ago.
Bad news: It was lurking at the bottom of the pannier all the while. On my bike. In the shed. With the sun beating down on the roof.

Carradice ladies, I beg your forgiveness.

Good news: I've gained some space in the garage by selling my motorbike.
Bad news: I've almost had to give it away (relatively speaking)

Good News - The Guardian website has a button to hide the Olympics coverage on the front page.

Bad News - I've only just noticed it

Good news. The plumber fixed it for only £60, on a Sunday night!

Bad news. I've just drilled through a water pipe while putting up a towel rack.

Good news.  Cycling home from work in the summer is really lovely.

Bad news.  Cycling home from work leaves me feeling fresh, energised and alive, when it's time to go to sleep.

Bad news: wire-brush angle-griding off rust revealed 1/2" x 6" hole in side of boat.

Good news: It's steel, I have an arc welder

Bad news: I suck at arc welding

Good news: boat no longer has a hole in the side

Bad News: I missed my train to work this morning
Good news: I therefore cycled the 25km in to work in 55 minutes as quicker than waiting for the next train.

Even better news: its a birthday at work, they have brought in CAIK
Bad news: I am having to be very good and not scoff the lot.  :demon:

Good:  I'm back online!  Having left my dongle at MFWHTBAB's, I didn't have internet access at home all week.

Bad: I've got some sort of lurgy. Headachey, shivers, sweating, sore throat.  :(

Good news: I've been given my second piece of training in 8 years at the company (motto "Putting People First")

Bad news: It's a piece of online WOMBAT compliant BS on "Protecting Company and Client Data"

Good news: The site doesn't work

Bad news: When it's back up the final test check of understanding will be a series of patronising multi-choice questions such as:

"You have a piece of confidential client data. Should you:

a. Post it on Facebook

b. Tweet it

c. Leave it on the train

I think you are being a little glib, Paul; I find it really hard to choose between a, b & c!

Good News: I bought a new tent for the weekend away swimming with the pony in Norfolk

Bad News: It didn't arrive on time, so I had to buy an emergency replacement from Halfrauds

Good News: Actually, the replacement was a perfectly adequate tent and I'm happy with it

Bad News: UPS have completely lost the tent I actually wanted and tried to get me to sign to say I'd had it delivered but the signature "hadn't gone through the system"

Good News: On investigating, the seller has discovered that UPS have lost it and has refunded me the full cost with no quibbling-and remarkably quickly!

Good news: BBC's upgrade last night to Iplayer means that Mrs. Wow can no longer waste all day watching ancient episodes of Cadvile on her very old Mac.

Bad news: Dez is talking her into thinking she wants a new one.

Bad news: No 2 son has just been involved in his first car crash (driver behind shunted him while he was waiting at junction).
Good news: No one hurt, his car is still driveable pending repairs.

Dare I ask, what is WOMBAT compliant stuff?  Is it related to me, angry and therefore shouting in capitals?

My own good news - My DAB radio for my car and the fascia adaptor has arrived, the bad news being the weather forecast..... fitting the aerial should be fun, or not.

Bad news: My chronic fatigue/painful hips and back are kicking my 'arris today.

Good news: I still managed to cycle the not-quite 1 mile round trip to the doc's for my blood tests as it would've hurt just as much getting in and out of a car!  It's not huge, but it's a big step for me.

Bad news: we still don't have a village shop-that's about 7 years now since they demolished the village centre before putting out to tender for the design of the new one...

Good news: the new Co-op opens on Sept 6!  I'll be able to actually go food shopping within a mile of my house!!

Bad News. Sainsburys Basics Instant Noodles have gone up by a whopping 18%. (2p). This increases my work lunch bill for the week by 8 whole p.

Good News. The till spat out 4 Nectar point coupons for me, three of which are actually going to be useful, as opposed to just trying to make my up my spend next time (which the fourth one does).
