Patagonia. The moisture in the air to enable rainbows was mostly water whipped up from the lakes and fjords (http://www.flickr.com/photos/johnspooner/2307673001/in/set-72157603988171701) by the wind. And it was very windy - at times people resorted to all fours to prevent being blown over.

Near Milton Keynes last week. Behind me a spectacular sunset was developing, I didn't know where to look. The farmer is guarding the crock of gold with an armoured tractor.

Thank you. I was rather happy with that one. Snapped on a Canon D10 (the waterproof job).  We saw 12 different rainbows that day.

I don't have a photo, but I have a question.

Years ago, we were on a family weekend in the Ironbridge area. As we drove into the town of Ironbridge, it rained, and we saw a very good rainbow, which seemed to come down in the middle of town before it faded.

When we got to the spot where it had seemed to be, there was a gift shop called "Rainbow's End". Freaky, or just common coincidence? I've always wondered though if there are some places more prone to rainbows, although I can't quite think how it would happen - topography affecting prevailing cloud patterns or something....
