I think I am emerging from my recent set of struggles.  I feel happier and more confident and I have learned a lot.  I've learned that I have lots of people who care about me, value me and tell me that I have made a big difference to their lives in someway.  I know I have some great friends, who have been there for me through the tough times and I have found out who my true friends are.

Life feels rosier at the moment, I know I will have my bad days, but here's to a more happier days than bad!

Had a fabulous Saturday. Jogging with sis in local park, then on to do a big shop for v little dosh (sister is a dab hand at bargains), then Woolly nipped down to meet us and trailered the goodies home on Stella + Bender, then the three of us had a lovely long walk to Brompton Cemetery, then we ate ice cream and watched Dr Who. A great day!!

I've just submitted my MA dissertation ;D

This means I'll be able to do something other than write my MA dissertation ;D

I'm going to a medieval scholar's drinks party at 4:30 - which is more fun than it sounds as it will be crowded with other MA students who have also just submitted their dissertations.

After that I suspect that I'm going to drink some more.

Oh--I thought you were heading down to the crypt to hang out with Thomas Aquinas and the boys.

Oh--I thought you were heading down to the crypt to hang out with Thomas Aquinas and the boys.

Not this time as this dissertation was on a piece of art that a bunch of Poor Clares (the female wing of the Franciscans) had made around 1260-ish. I  got Aquinas and the Domenicans out of the way a couple of years ago when I wrote a piece on the Spanish Chapel of S.Maria Novella, Florence - a place that's basically both an advert for the wonders of Aquinas and very crypt-like in appearence.

Basically when it comes to the major mendicant orders I can swing both ways ;D
