Been to see Doc today about my right knee pain and have been advised to rest it and go back in a month if I still have problems, surprise advice then!! After a few days rest my knee is fine again so if I don't use it on a bike then I don't get pain......therefore in my mind that means I need to use it to cause the pain to get the root problem sorted rather than just avoid the situation that produces the pain, i.e. >130km distances!
Really don't want my long distance riding to be ended before it's even begun
Anyway, I think it's prudent to not aggrevate the issue this Wednesday and see how it goes for next week so I'll have to dip out for tomorrow's ride
If I do use the company medical insurance to get a specialist consultation to start the ball rolling with fixing what appears to be a medial collateral ligament problem I think I should do a 200k ride before the appointment
