Avenue Verte

I've got a wedding near Paris next year. Haven't got the exact location but considering cycling to it as a bit of a challenge for my 40th birthday year

Did some googling and found avenue Verte from Dieppe to Paris

Anyone on here got experience of it?

Yes, the Avenue Verte is good fun until it runs out. The roads through outer Paris are not particularly pleasant, at least not the ones HK and I used some years ago for a Fleche de France perm.
Wheel meet again, don't know where, don't know when...

We went as far as the bit that's ex-railway line goes (Forge-les-Eaux I think) one time with a large family group (including an 8 year old).

It was delightful. Good surface, cafes in old railway stations, the sun shone.

Finding the start of it in Dieppe was a little tricky, but nothing that a bit of SatNav wouldn't have resolved without issue.

There is a write up in this place somewhere but can't find it.

I am often asked, what does YOAV stand for? It stands for Yoav On A Velo

There are 2 routes, the shorter one and a longer one via Chantilly and Beauvais (superb cathedral) which is more road and less railway. Done both they are superb!

Although the section after the old railway line South of Gisors becomes quite gravelly. The old Paris-Dieppe line only closed North of Gisors and the AV used another line to the same quality as far as Bray et Lu

Some of the original route has been reclaimed as a railway line, the alternative roads are not as flat but nothing too challenging no traffic to speak of.

I've read that accommodation is hard to find, I camped 1st time I did it (including one night just on the trail nobody cares) the 2nd time found a nice place off the route near Ferrieres en Bray thru Booking

the Newhaven - Dieppe ferry is also quite expensive now
