Yes. There is a kind of urticaria that is triggered by stress. I had an acquaintance who was diagnosed with it.

I've got it for past 2 to 3 months fluctuating in severity throughout the n period and throughout each 24 hour period. I've had allergic reaction urticaria to insect repellent once,. Stopped using one brand of repellent  and it disappeared.

This time blood tests only show what I knew I had,  allergy to dust mite and grass pollen. Doesn't explain this spell of urticaria so my partner thinks stress. I've had a long period of recruitment for a new job.  Perhaps this 2 month long process has been more stressful than I recognise.  Anyway, if this is the cause then the next few weeks getting used to my job might be the answer to stopping this urticaria outbreak.

Possible causes are plant poisons or anti-nutrients : oxalates or phytates or lectins etc etc etc

These plants poisons affect different people in different ways and, therefore can be difficult to diagnose or even test for.
Elimination diets can help identify the possible cause, and reduce symptoms. But oxalates are difficult to remove from the body.
