Lightweight Stool

Has anyone used the Vango Skye Tall camping stool? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/133554423427?chn=ps&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=710-134428-41853-0&mkcid=2&itemid=133554423427&targetid=1139674279667&device=c&mktype=pla&googleloc=1006766&poi=&campaignid=12128858326&mkgroupid=122515169451&rlsatarget=aud-629407027145:pla-1139674279667&abcId=9300480&merchantid=118930533&gclid=CjwKCAiAm-2BBhANEiwAe7eyFJiMHQ0oN02Hjnq9Y96dbHB_I3SiSOUyr5Ac1KDJjGdGYPpe4z0J_xoCJzsQAvD_BwE
My wife and I are planning on cycle camping this summer. The last time we did it was 30 years ago before life and children got in the way (we've still camped almost every summer but with family camping stuff). As we will be carrying everything on the tandem we obviously want to be as minimalist as poss but I think my 61 year old frame would appreciate a stool these days rather than sitting on the ground.

I have used something similar to that and carried it on a bike whist touring.  They are surprisingly comfortable.

Last year I bought a cheapo Aldi Helix chair knock off which also seems to be pretty good as well.

Thanks for the replies guys. I'd looked at the tripod type of stool but thought they were a bit heavy (using steel tubes). However I've found this Vango one which uses alloy tubes and is as light as the other one I was looking at. I think the tripod design looks less delicate and three feet should work better on uneven surfaces.

It seems that a few places still have Coleman Exponent stools in stock.  Much better fold than the three-legged ones.  Discussed (along with various other seating options) in a previous thread.

I've only just seen this thread so my reply might be too late.

I have and use a Vango Skye Tall stool and find it very good.  From what I gather, it's a fair bit higher than the Helinox style chairs (of which I have no experience) and obviously has no back rest - the Helinox looks better for lounging but I'm not so sure about it for cooking and eating.  I find the Skye Tall stool invaluable for cooking as I'm prone to lower back ache when kneeling and bending to use my stove.  It's nice to sit on when having my morning coffee and eating too.  I haven't had any problems with it sinking into the ground, its stability or strength.

I have been having a sort out of my camping gear and came across a Coleman Exponent stool which I forgot I had. I looks in good nick but the original stuff sack was dumped in favour of a lighter weight one. If anyone wants it they can have it for the cost of the postage or come and collect it from me.
