How's about The Beatles doing http://www.youtube.com/v/0MgMzI5SKe4&rel=1 in Hamburg?

Or even http://www.youtube.com/v/EPqO47zlvao&rel=1 :o :o :o

Or Beatles (in Hamburg again), doing a Frank Ifield cover, http://www.youtube.com/v/g7urv0tC2Kk&rel=1

Do you think they'd rather forget?

Hey, thank you so much for that. I wasn't aware of it.

I've only got http://www.youtube.com/v/_jqutCxpKLU&rel=1
Did me in when I first heard it. So much so that I actually went out and bought it. ::-)

"Pink Floyd - A band from the British blocks" ;D Snigger, yeah right! :-\ Never mind, Wycleff, I still like it.

More used to Floyd covers now, what with http://www.youtube.com/v/0YsUwHu46-8&rel=1 and the Sissor Sisters, but Wycleff was the one who did it for me.
Admission. I'm actually not that fussed about cake.

Ah yes. How could I forget the Scissor Sisters' systematic destruction cover of Comfortably Numb?

I need to find a link to Goatwhore's cover of Hazy Shade of Winter...
It takes blood and guts to be this cool but I'm still just a cliché.

Heavy metal singer, Bruce Dickinson (frontman of Iron Maiden) wearing a dodgy looking outfit does an impression of Tom Jones.

A few spring to mind:

Mike Flowers Pops - Wonderwall, wonderfully kitsch
Anthrax - Bring The Noise
She's A Model - Terrorvision
I feel like Captain Kirk, on a brand new planet every day, a little like King Kong on top of the Empire State

Burning Down the House

Quite a contrast in singing styles between Tom and the elvin girlie from the Cards. Kind of like a foghorn going off when he opens up :)

I'm amazed no one's mentioned Yat Kha yet. They did a whole album of covers including http://www.youtube.com/v/q6DP1aFeHbs&rel=1. I think my fave, though, is Love Will Tear Us Apart (can't find that on YouTube).

In case you're not familiar with them - they are Mongolian throat singers + rock band.

<edit> On listening to it all again, I'm not sure if their version of Wild Mountain Thyme isn't my favourite. Fair brought a tear to my eye, it did. Then again, it might have been the Rioja.
There's no vibrations, but wait.

Elektra have an entire album of odd covers, called Rubaiyyat, which features all sorts of oddness, such as The Cure doing Hello, I Love You.

I have CCW doing "..Grapevine" as well as Pink Fairies doing "Waiting for the Man"

Mmm - surprising.

Not quite as unlikely (or as awful) as http://www.youtube.com/v/FONt47Z0KZg&rel=1
