I've translated the 200 onto gpx if no one else has,  oh and I've recruited an extra to ride it.

I'd appreciate the GPX, thanks. I haven't thought much about this one - need to do Saturday's Springtime event first.

b) unsuitable for my silly restrictive diet. Oh well. More grist for the audax-as-self harm mill, then.

Yeah, me too. Coeliac. This year I will take my own bread. I often turn up to a catered control and it's just a sea of poison to me. Can be frustrating and end up carrying a lot of food, 'just in case'.

Hi, am doing this as well with a mate of mine. Would really appreciate the gpx 200 Phil, if you could send that through that would be grand. Look forward to seeing you all on the morning.

Thanks Adamski, I tried this afternoon but for some reason the loops you have plotted did not show in their entirety on my etrex 20. Normally I would plot the route myself but my old pc conked out last week and as a replacement I was offered a chromebook...a good machine for the internet but not for anything GPS related. Thanks for your post though and with a bit of luck I will have the GPS prepped for Saturday. See you then.

Ulfson, did you try clicking on the "gps track" download to device option (under the save option)? I did that yesterday using bikehike/adamski link and it worked well today. May end up doing this ride as was great fun last year and I DNFed todays Shaftsbury 200.

You need to load as a track, rather than route. Route has limited waypoints. Track will be fine.

Cheers. However, the 200 km ride seems to only use one of those loops. This is my interpretation of the routesheet.

Many thanks Adamski, Saved me the trouble. The first loop seems different to that I remember from last year, however I was not gpsing then, so did not view a map beforehand!

See you there.

Just tracked out the 100 in two loops:

http://www.bikely.com/maps/bike-path/uputs100-2

Tom_e - Am I being stupid in that I can't see a way to download gpx from bikely?!

Taking some friends on first Audax, so maybe I should make them do it on the route sheet only, just for fun?!?!

....... a way to download gpx from bikely?!

From the menu bar at the top of the page hit "Share", then "Download .gpx"

Ah - thanks! And I am a web designer too... In my head 'share' means 'post to facebook or twitter' not share with your GPS... Sorted now, cheers.

I've changed to the 100 as I need to be in north London for four-ish. That means I'll get 1 hour more in bed and I'll still end up with over 150 km for the day by the time I've ridden the audax and then from Ugley to north London. Sounds like a win to me.
What on earth am I doing here on this beautiful day?! This is the only life I've got!!

I'm having trouble emailing the organiser about a swap to the 100km event. The emails are not being delivered. Anyone able to PM me an alternative address?

Looks as though the trikes will be out in force

I hope my rainlegs arrive in time. They'll be my insurance against the weather. I've got my full arrow team for a run out / meet n greet.

I'm having to DNS (very small amount of leg has just been surgically removed), so the weather forecast is bound to improve. Enjoy it, anyway!

GWS but you're right, the weather forecast has already started to improve.

Thank goodness. The driver has a problem with forecasts (apparently meteo-addication is not actually a thing, but evidence does suggest otherwise) and has become a glass half empty kinda guy with regards to teh weather.

Hope it was a non-essential part. Heal well & fast.

Thanks boab and bloomers. It feels very feeble to DNS just because a bit of scabby skin was removed and the hole stitched up. Proper riders would have just covered it with a bit of old coke can, or welded on a new leg at a passing forge, and gone on pedalling, broken wrists and legs and all!

(And I'm still obsessively studying the various forecasts, even though not riding.)

I have no problem at all with forecasts - it's just that for the last six months, they've been forecasting (quite accurately, sadly) completely shit weather.

I just need one sunny, warm ride under our wheels - and I'll be happy again.

ETA: ... and Saturday's Up the Uts won't be it, sadly...  :(

Thankyou very much Adamski for these. See you Saturday, although I am rather poorly so I may drop down to the 100 / DNS etc.

Cheers. However, the 200 km ride seems to only use one of those loops. This is my interpretation of the routesheet.

I don't suppose your plotted a .gps for the 100 have you adamski? I see it is not simply the first 100km loop of the 200km ride (that would be far too logical...).

I think I may drop down to the 100 as well, as I am not too well. Or maybe I will see how many loops of the 200 I can do before I expire.

I've changed to the 100 as I need to be in north London for four-ish. That means I'll get 1 hour more in bed and I'll still end up with over 150 km for the day by the time I've ridden the audax and then from Ugley to north London. Sounds like a win to me.
