Just discovered Orux Maps for Android and discovered it will directly read Garmin map .img files plus has the Grasshopper offline routing engine. Plus will load GPX tracks, routes, and waypoints and navigate them. Nice to have the same mapping plus routing as backup to the GPS.

Lots of our friends in Germany use this as they can see where each other are when riding.
