I think that, among the various bits of railway hardware in his garden near the Kellets, Jim Bowen had a length of platform, signals, a signal box and a footbridge.

So you like bridges?

How about one in your garden!

Just look at the handrail on that bridge!! Yes, yes, okay, it's not much of a bridge pic and, in fact, it's not much of a bridge. You can just about get two people walking side-by-side, and horse riders are asked to dismount. Anyhoo, just look at the lovely Cuckmere river as it meanders sluggishly away to the sea a couple of miles away.

Actually, I'd better qualify it with a better view of the bridge:

Certainly never seen cycling south of Sussex

(I know I've done that one before, but it is a good bridge)

I wonder if painting London's bridges yellow, pink and red would brighten things up (yes, I know about Albert Bridge).

I'm waiting for them to repaint the Tay Bridge in it's original colour (red oxide, like the Forth Bridge.)

Black mark for David Martin.  It is not right to mention That River without using the adjective 'silvery'.

I believe "silv'ry" is the more correct usage.

I saw this one whilst on my tour, but too late to take a photo:

Here it is in it's horrible modern setting:

And a bit closer:

What struck me, seeing it from the train is that the supports of the road bridge (just visible in the first photo) echo the shape of the medieval bridge.

Now, that's good bridgery.  Did you ride your bike over it?  Or just pass it on the train?

I only passed it on the train, but I may plan it into the next trip to Catalonia.

I love that footbridge!  How long is it?  And how much does it move as you cross? ;D
