In Mark Beaumont's feed from the Tour of Britain, I believe I spotted a Canardly, in a cream YACF shirt, over his left shoulder at the start of this video: https://scontent.xx.fbcdn.net/hads-xfl1/v/t42.1790-4/11966431_1102643993081318_1679715511_n.mp4?oh=a6bf9e61b4d5886b5024a2b765c647b7&oe=55F9D4CE

 :D
If it ain't broke, fix it 'til it is...

Ah rumbled! I forgot to put the social ride tea shirt on!  ;D  Mark is a really nice bloke and hugely supportive of cycling in all of its forms.

A few photos from the day

We got to ride the course, marvellous.

Polar Bear and MllePB at home in Rugby, which is a lot nicer than I thought it would be (Rugby, I mean). I've only ever seen it from a train carriage and I expected a mini-Coventry  ;D

Hmmm, what's Roger implying about the state of our building site / works in progress?   Twas good to see you and your good lady too Roger.  Thanks very much indeed for the slightly wobbly plastic item.

Rugby is a surprisingly pleasant place.  A sort of middle class Kettering.  We have some really good real ale pubs, the most excellent eateries and a few curry houses of passable distinction as well.   And, my lbs is 100 metres away!!

Seriously, we are living in cluttery mess at the moment but we're both equally guilty of not tidying up so that't OK then.   The builder has been in looking at the newly vacated old bathroom space this afternoon.

On the A167 betwixt NTR and Thirsk, tigerbiten.

Recumbent trike, check
Beard, check
No top, only shorts, check.

I was going the other way, in a car, so was unable to verify the most distinguishing feature of said forumite.

He is a lovely man, and included me in his first book, even though he described me as "rather large"

There was a veritable throng of peopleonbikes at the front of the queue to turn off Bournbrook Road into Bristol Road this morning. I recognised one of them.

"Basil!"
"BASIL!"
*pause*
"[Basil's_other_name_which_is_not_in_any_way_similar_to_the_name_just_shouted]!"
*nervous shifting from people wondering if I have some sort of name-based Tourette's*

Then the lights changed and we Bristol Roaded in different directions.

Shouting at Basil doesn't work.  You need a distinctive cadence.

Sorry Nikki
That's twice this month I've not heard forumites shouting at me.  My hearing is pretty bad anyway, but I hope this is not a sign of impending serious loss.

It probably wasn't ideal conditions for being heard - including me having a cold - but fingers crossed it's nothing more serious.

Not sure who it was, but red yacf jersey was spotted going up station street in Lewes while walking with Miss Dan the Younger earlier. Your pace up the hill was such that stopping you didn't seem fair!

Bloody hell I'm an antisocial sod with no identifying gait or cadence. I've never seen anyone and no one's ever seen me. I did meet a few people on rides on the distant past - but that was another life, other forums.

Surely I can't be the only NCR Route 2 yacf commuter. I say hi to everyone but they're grumpy sods on the counter commute and, presumably, just think I'm mad now.
