I had one where the card got wedged between the inner and outer flaps of the letterbox, which I only discovered after about three weeks.  Fortunately the Nice Man in the shop a few doors up the road still had the item.  A limited edition vinyl copy of the mighty Amplifier's magnum opus “The Octopus”.
