My bike went off on its own!
« on: 05 August, 2009, 08:53:16 pm »
This morning I locked my bike in the locker at work, having already selected "Lap" on my 705 and switched it off...

Got back this evening, switched it on, and recorded home trip.

To my surprise - while I was at work my bike has put in an extra 8 miles as a circular route over Portsdown hill.

Even more impressive was the fact that it managed over 400 mph at one point and despite being a considerable hill, Portsdown sank below sea level during the trip.

Has anyone else experienced phantom trips with their 705?

I got a phantom reading of 31 mtrs below sea-level once on the South Downs -  not a million miles from Portsdown hill.
That was on a Legend HCx.

Same unit also had a funny five minutes last weekend (see next thread)
