Today it is dull in Didcot.

Not if you go and practice some hand brake turns in Manor Crescent at playtimes  :demon:

Or go and have a cup of tea with my dad and his chums up at the Bowls Club, reminiscing on their regular Monday mornings after clearing the green of lager cans.

Dark now.

Significantly improved by looking at photos of embalmed dogfish steaks.
It is simpler than it looks.

So...you were shaved by a fat man in Didcot?

For extra wildlife, we could always start a FNRttS from Didcot ....

or maybe not ....

I often travelled to Didcot by train. From Newport.
This is a cue for everyone else to indulge in schadenfreude,

But Newport is more famous

and apologies to all who have seen this a zillion times - but it has to be the best ever Welsh song?

Didcot DESERVES better?

The moon is hanging low over Didcot, somewhat dimmer than usual, as if it is trying desperately to escape across the Oxfordshire plain.
It is simpler than it looks.

And Didcot is the sort of place where you do get mooned.

There is a misty frost all round Didcot and the shivering sheep are welcoming the nuclear sunrise that has just appeared above it.
It is simpler than it looks.

Perhaps it (the moon, that is) is just trying not to be noticed.

The nuclear sunrise (which can usually be seen from England - not just Didcot - and some of Wales) operates outwith government policy, and has been implicated in the Global Warming scandal.

I predict it will outlive YACF, but with some variations in output.

Didcot is dark and brooding; plotting its siren call for the riders on the Upper Thames on Saturday.
It is simpler than it looks.

Anyone know if the fireworks display at Culham Park is any cop?

Also - can you get in by any means other than a car? All the prices I've seen for it are per-car  :-\.

They're pretty cycle-friendly there. I happen to know about the parallel event at Harwell/RAL - we worked out that if you don't drive it's free

EDIT: I've jsut seen the blurb for the Culham event. It looks bloody huge! Not like the Harwell event at all. [Culham is much nearer large popn centres]. Still, I'd expect a car to be optional. YMMV

It's had a swanky makeover recently - live train times display n everyfink.

Now its the place you go for dodgy "business" meetings if you don't want anyone to know.

(If you want a fight I can do some research ... )
