Bucket list help
«

Mrs. T and I have a good friend who is terminally ill. One of the items on her bucket list is to ride on the back of a tandem. I don't think she will be able to ride far, probably just a short trip round Ely ( where she lives )
If anyone is in a position to help we would be more than happy to cover any travel costs .

Can't help specifically, but the combination of "Ely" "bucket list" and "ride" suggests that an afternoon at D-Tek might be of interest...

I could probably help here. Just need to find a stoker to ride down with me from Oundle.

Unfortunately I sold mine last year.
I know people who have racing, vintage and recumbent tandems within a few miles of Ely.
I'd join the Ely & District club's facebook page and appeal on there. I think Alan Newark has fairly recently aquired a 'normal' tandem - perhaps he can help.

Would Charlotte's Tandems allow this?

May be able to arrange something if she wants to have a go on a 11' long recumbent tandem!

I heard about your "new" tandem from a certain ex colleague of yours with whom I now share an office. He reckons it has a turning circle measured between counties.
Will it fit into Ely ??

Met with the lady in question today, unfortunately the treatment she is currently undergoing means that she is hardly able to walk, let alone ride a tandem, so sadly we will have to put this on hold for the moment.

Yes, we would. When she is well enough, please contact us at CharlottesTandems.co.uk if you'd like to borrow a tandem.
